The Constitution of the Magic Dealers Association requires that applicants for membership be engaged in the manufacture or sales, at wholesale or retail, of magical equipment, supplies or publications.

Applicants must in some way be able to prove they are a bonafide business (e.g. a business license, printed letterhead, photograph of storefront, etc.) and have the recommendation of two currently active members of the association.
